One of the world’s leading dive companies is the Undersea Hunter Group which focuses especially on live aboard diving to Cocos Island and Malpelo Islands. The Undersea Hunter has massive vessels that are kept in mint condition for their guests and scuba divers. The Undersea Hunters have a very specific and objective mission statement. Their focus appears to be on serious divers, film makers, scientists and marine biologists as their guests. The dive company states that they are completely committed to their goal of providing great platforms and immense experience along with their top condition technology to their esteemed guests. For the past 20 years, the Undersea Hunter Group has declared their dedication to providing the most rewarding and unique experience to their guest divers and other professionals.
The dive company focuses on Cocos Island as one of its major destinations of attraction. The group advises the guests to get to the San Jose airport in Costa Rica. The guests are told to pack light clothes more suited to spring or summer weather since the tropical lands of Costa Rica may get heavily humid or hot. They are also requested to comply with baggage policies of the airline so as to avoid extra complications. The reason for this is that certain airlines have extra strict instructions which may limit diving and photography gear. For this reason, the guests are asked to pack accordingly. For traveling to Costa Rica, it is recommended that the guests get vaccinated for yellow fever. Upon arriving at the destination, guests are told to get their luggage where arranged taxis are usually waiting to take them to their hotels. After check in and the night before the Undersea Hunter vessel departs for the cruise, guests are given detailed instructions by relevant staff of the dive company. On the day of departure to Cocos Island, the guests are given any time to gather between 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. They are then picked up from their respective hotels and taken to Puntarenas where they board the Undersea Hunter vessel. The drive to Puntarenas takes about 3 hours on average. This drive gives the guests an opportunity to observe the lush green land of Costa Rica.
If divers want to explore the land along with the ocean life, they are directed towards many attractions in Cocos Island. There are active volcanoes, white water rafting, tours, biking, exploring the jungles, viewing coffee plantations, horseback riding, checking the local arts and crafts and also the beautiful pristine beaches of Costa Rica. There is a vast array of sea life available for the viewing pleasure of divers in the waters of Cocos Island. There are white tip reef sharks, hammerhead sharks, dolphins, manta rays, marbled rays, moray eels, and sometimes even a whale shark. There are jacks and tuna fish roaming around in the form of schools, silver tip sharks, marlin, Creole fish, green turtles and octopus. There are also some rare and exotic species available like the rosy lipped batfish. Near the majestic waterfalls, there are also a number of fresh water fish available for observation.
