October 30th, 2012
Located in Playa Flamingo in Guanacaste, Scuba Dive Costa Rica is a PADI Dive Center that services the areas of Tamarindo, Langosta, Grande, Conchal, Brasilito, Potrero, Flamingo and Las Catalinas. Headed by their In-house PADI Course Director, this dive shop is operated by a team of PADI Professionals that can speak different languages like English, French and Spanish.
At this early stage, we would like to inform you that the influx of tourist starts this coming Black Friday and Thanksgiving then peaks on December that last up to April. With this, we highly suggest to have an early booking to avoid the rush and disappointment. You can choose from their tour packages and scuba certification programs which can make your vacation an awesome experience.
For certified divers, Scuba Dive Costa Rica offers daily dive tours to Catalina Island. Their Discover Scuba Diving Program and Snorkeling tours is a great package for non-divers who can still get the chance to see the underwater beauty of Catalina Island.
Price for a 2-tank dive: $90 - $100
Their dive boat usually leaves everyday at 8:30 am for the morning trip to Catalina Island. Since there are several dive sites in Catalina Island, we are sure that there’s always one site fitted to your scuba certification. What to expect to see underwater are manta rays, whitetip reef sharks, eagle rays, sea turtles, moray eels and schools of jacks or grunts. They also offer nitrox diving but see to it that you have a pre-arranged booking with this type of diving.
Price for a 2-tank dive: $200 ($1,600 for a full charter)
Diving in Bat Islands requires an advanced certification where you will be doing a deep dive. In some instances, mild currents are expected depending on the lunar phase of the moon. What divers are excited about diving in Bat Island are the Bull Sharks as well as other species of sharks. Make sure to have a reservation with this tour since this is a chartered trip.
The good thing with Scuba Dive Costa Rica is they can make a schedule around your visit to Costa Rica in taking up your certification course. You can choose in all their PADI certification programs from Open Water up to becoming a Scuba Instructor.
