Costa Rica Dive and Surf

Costa Rica Dive and Surf is a dive shop located in Dominical, on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. The company offers different kinds of underwater activities. It mainly pursues diving, snorkeling and surfing. Dive and snorkel tours take place at Cano Island and Ballena National Park while surfing occurs by Baru River’s sandbars and Corcovado National Park. The dive shop conducts several PADI courses.

Ballena National Park is a sublime natural wonderland right on the entrance of Dominical. It has a wide reef system of 70 kilometers that consists of unique rock formation, isles, underwater mounts and reef walls. The park is within easy reach from the dive shop. Half day long dive and snorkel trips are more than enough to meet the amazing species that dwell underwater. The divers are likely to have thrilling encounters with Humpback whales, dolphins, sea-turtles, octopuses, sea-horses, rays, countless fish and much more. The water is clean and translucent with superb visibility. Alongside diving, tourists can have a grand time on sunset cruises that take you around the bay. For a chance to observe the fantastic acrobatic talents of the whales and dolphins, whale and dolphins watching tours should be tried with Costa Rica Dive and Surf.

Ballena National Park Packages:

Ballena National Park Dive Tour is for certified divers with minimum of 3 people. The package contains water, fruits, snacks and drinks for the sunset tour. The rates are $99 per person.

Cano Island is 40 miles away from the boat launches of Costa Rica Dive and Surf. The boat leaves for the island at 6:30 a.m and returns at 3 p.m. The shop takes you on an open ocean trip so travelers can see dolphins and whales swimming about the boat on their way to Cano Island. Once there, the dives are conducted in two locations where visibility is more than 80 feet! The groups are usually kept small, around 5 people, for a better personalized service.
