Cano Divers is a dive operation that is supported by Pirate Cove, a PADI International Resort Member. They are known to provide high quality of services, good customer care and excellent safety precautions.Each group is allotted with a professional PADI divemaster and assistant instructors. The dive groups are kept small in order to ensure proper learning by giving personal attention to the students. The divers leave for Cano Island early in the morning at 7:30 a.m sharp. The small island is on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica in Coronado Bay. It is encircled by waters vibrant with sea life. The abundant marine life lures plenty of tourists who don’t want to miss an opportunity to observe the plethora of sea animals. Although the terrestrial wildlife is less intense, the tropical rain-forests are still luscious and exotic. Various pre-Columbian artifacts have been discovered in Isla del Cano such as hand carved stone spheres which strongly suggest inhabitation by early civilizations before the arrival of the Spanish. Due to its interesting history and great dive spots, the island has been converted into a protected nature reserve with a permanent ranger station.

Dive Tours

Cano Divers organize tours to Costa Rica’s prime dive destinations. For this reason, the picnics are held in the gorgeous beach of San Josecito. It is also important to notice that smoking is prohibited in the area.

Scuba Courses and Certifications

Cano Divers offers various courses and certifications. The cost of scuba diving courses at Cano Island ranges from $130 to $180 with the provision of free equipment. Resort Course is a non-certified, day long experience for only $195. There are types of Open Water courses that involve advanced dives at Cano Island. They also offer Emergency Responder Course, Assistant Instructor Course, and Specialty in Night Diving, Boat Diving, Deep Diving, Navigation, Search and Recovery. For those who are interested in Cano Divers PADI dive courses, instruction and training; there are several options to choose from - such as a full 5 days long course for confined and open water diving, advanced open water dive course for assistant instructors and divemaster apprentice programs as well.
